The real entity can do anything and don't have a real shape while his physical manifestation is just the gay llama. Arceus said that he gave a fragment of himself to travel with you. This also explain why Arceus in the cutscene just appeared in a second because he actually made a physical body from nothing, it didn't teleport or anything like that.
