>>55579671>>55579832>>55580114aha, i'll let you guys have a taste of the edge and it'll hopefully explain on it's own why i scrapped it. physical harm is one thing but i thought death was a little....tonally *off* given how sweet this story is overall? i do feel that giving bibi some kind of moral quandary to figure out would be a way of giving her extended story meaning, but i think this is too bleak and doesn't really *say* anything. one day i'll think of something to do with their story that approaches poignancy. maybe.
for context this is the conclusion of bibi winning her first fight against tes, sparing him, tes getting his salty runback, but then losing their final final match by a hair.
another reason i ditched this is well...sure it's not exactly the same, but it feels like it retreads the whole "i'm not special/a hero/immortal" thing bibi has going on in part 1. as cool as it seems in my head, it doesn't feel *entirely* consistent even if she is incredibly confident in her abilities
