I've spent a few hundred in the last 2 months just organizing my existing cards and completing some wishlist cards. Got a ton of neat stuff from the last few sets and the scraps of my remaining childhood cards. Do i think ultimately it wont net me any profit? Absolutely. Is it fun to spend some of my expendable money putting together a cool set of cards for my niece/nephew in a decade or so? Abso-fucking-lutely. All these cards are cool and I do think the staying power of pokemon will keep some of my collection holding value, but that really isnt the point. Whatever your reasoning is for going all in on collectible cards always remember that at its heart you should be having fun you degenerate retards.
