I really don't have any deep dank secrets so I'll just say this.
I got diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 6 or 7, and got put on medication, morning midday and night. I was on these until 4-5 years ago. At first I got nightmares every night, then 5 times a week, then less and less as the years went on. It was so bad I had to wake my mother up and sleep with her to even get some peace. Eventually I got a lamp like pic related but simpler, where you pull the metal ball chain to light it. I got the habit of turning on the lamp whenever I wake up, which was good because in my nightmares I usually start by waking up in my bed in the nightmare. When I pull on the lamp chain in the nightmare, the lamp doesn't turn on or light no matter how hard I tug. I got used to doing that so many times that that was how I was always able to tell if I was actually awake or caught in a nightmare. It got to the point where I got used to the nightmares, and found ways to break myself out of them, so I stopped bothering my mom about it.
