HEY
let's have a productive discussion here.
at a time, people wanted the E4 Champ to be in the low to mid 80s (i'm aware this isn't confirmed, don't worry)
if the Champ did end up there, between being in the 80s by first Champ battle, doing 8 Gym Leader rebattles, and then doing another E4/Champ rebattle, you'd almost certainly already be in the mid to high 90s in level, making post-game extremely limited.
here's a few things to consider:
-excluding legends, there are only 3 Pokemon in the entire dex (Magnitogre, Comossus, and Diamat) that learn a level up move past level 75. this means that if you have a well-balanced party of 6 Pokemon, there's a high likelihood that you'll never see any of them learn a level up move after the 8th gym or so, and definitely not in postgame.
-Basilect (lv.50) and Diamat (lv.60) have the highest evolution requirements in the dex. This this means that if you have a well-balanced party of 6 Pokemon, there's a high likelihood that you'll never see any of them evolve after the 5th or 6th gym depending on plot, and also that you'll likely never see a wild NFE Pokemon anywhere after the 6th gym
-Pokemon Platinum is generally regarded as having the best combination of difficulty and post-game content, and it's been said that we're aiming for a difficulty somewhere between Platinum and Blaze Black. in Platinum, the E4 Champ's highest level Pokemon is lv.62 in the first battle, and lv.78 in the rematch, and in Blaze Black 2, the E4 Champ's highest level Pokemon is lv.75 in the first battle (can't find info on the rematch)
-my statements about when you'd stop learning moves and evolving are based on our "increased difficulty," but still a standard gf region and progression. they don't take into account the fact that Urobos dwarfs any existing gf region
anyways, just some food for thought. people making movesets, keep this shit in mind. people in general, maybe we should consider taking another look at our evolution requirements.
