Just bought some Pokémon cards for the first time in a long while (in part because they’ve been totally absent from pretty much every store I’ve been in the last few months and I thought hey I might not get the chance again for some time) and got some good reminders of how charming the art can be on these cards, like this Delibird that was in one of them. I was going to ask for recommendations on what packs to keep an eye out for that have good art, but it seems like several people here have suggested to others to just buy individual cards instead. Is this still the most viable strategy for cards that are relatively expensive or is it better to take the chances on it? It’s been a long time so I don’t really know just how rare the stuff like full art alternate cards are. In my case as someone just starting up again after a long absence would it be better to get some packs to build up a decent number first or is it wiser to just pick individual cards from the getgo?
