>>48689962The thing about the dex cut is that the Pokemon themselves have always been the BARE FUCKING MINIMUM as far as Pokemon content go. And a lot of us accepted the fact that we'd get washed out colors and stilted, awkward looking idle animations until the end of time as they continued reusing 3DS models. I even used to defend the practice before SWSH was shit out, because I understood it was impractical to remake those same models over and over each gen. And then they decided to cut anyways, used said models as an excuse, and offered literally nothing in return. Anything that flies still looks like shit.
And that doesn't even go into the myriad of issues that I let slide before. The lack of interesting postgame, the new legendary hunts shrinking with every generation, the more phoned in trainer customization gets as it's clear they didn't want to do it past XY, the absolute refusal to accommodate 6v6 players in online matches, even forcing a timer that LITERALLY MAKES THAT FORMAT UNPLAYABLE. Still no proper cutscene skipping and the games still treat you like you need to wear a helmet at all times. Speaking of helmets, the riding suits JUST. KEEP. HAPPENING. They were ugly in Alola, they were ugly in Galar, and now they've shoved that shit down our throats in what should have been a joyous revisit to Sinnoh. I really don't understand what GF's obsession is with butt ugly sports gear when slapping on a helmet and pads on top of your regular clothes would just be better in every respect. You know, like real kids do when they ride bikes.
Lot of us were willing to let all of it slide on the one condition that we got to keep all of our Pokemon and take them with us. That one condition, that's been the bare fucking minimum for most of this franchise's lifespan. And then they said "no, and we won't give you anything else you were asking for, either."
The worst part is they chose the jump to HD to pull all this shit.
