>>57698418I'm not usually super autistic about Pokemon but I did something while replaying Gen 1 recently that was a weird combination of like autism + roleplaying:
>in Rock Tunnel>used Mew glitch so have Mew in my party>fighting some trainer with a grass mon>Mew gets poisoned>save after fight like I typically do when in a dungeon so I don't lose progress if I accidentally close the game>realize I don't have any antidote or anything>Mew will likely faint before I make it to the exit>something suddenly seems really shameful and disrespectful about letting a mythical Pokemon like Mew just die of poison in the middle of a dark cave>attempt to return to the entrance of the cave using the most efficient route and the minimum amount of steps possible so I can heal Mew at the Pokecenter by the entrance before it faints>have to reset the game like 3 fucking times while attempting this>actually make it with just a few steps to spareIt wouldn't have bothered me if Mew just fainted in the course of a normal fight but for some reason that poison situation just got to me on some level.
I also used to do the gender typecasting thing that's been mentioned here already, but now I don't care anymore unless I need a specific gender for an in-game reason.
