overworld stuff is far above average but considering the average is just crap from gen3/gen4 then that's not as much of a compliment
the shiny sprites are fucking awful for most of them; they're either halfassed recolors, badly executed ideas, attempts at making pokemon look like other pokemon (there's a few shinies like braviary that are just fucking ho-oh bootlegs), etc.
at least a few of them are literal fucking hue shifts (buzzwole was the first one I tested it with, via
paint.net's hue/saturation sliders)
but this is a mostly blind playthrough so take it with a grain of salt
