Once you get that that, either officially or sadly unofficially in Pokemon's case, the biggest reason for anyone to be heated is gone. Hell, international dub viewers WIN in that arrangement because they get an entirely "new" production of a show they already liked. Whenever I've done that with an edited show I just end up enjoying the show all over again.
Foreign licensors going all in with domestic character and image songs is usually delightful, however.
