Back when I was a kid, I lived in a swampy area in Flordia, right next to a state park. The housing shared a lake with the park, so there were many protected gators int he lake.
Whenever we had food that went bad, instead of tossing it out, I would simply take it and walk down to the docks and feed the gators. Why? because why wouldn't a kid feed a giant reptile?
Walking down to those docks are my favorite memories of childhood. Surrounded by nature, thick forests, and those gators always there to feed. Guess I just always kinda imagined a kid version of me doing it and finding a little Totodile there. The evolutionary line would soon become my favorite, and hasn't been replaced since.
