Sure light isn't a horrible idea, but with light itself being mostly intangible it doesn't really interact with stuff very well, not to mention it's nearly always represented by Psychic for some reason.
Here's a better idea: GLUE TYPE. A type based around sticky and gooey non-toxic substances.
SE against Steel (because metal things can easily be glued together) and Fairy (because it needs a nerf).
Weak to Ice (because freezing glue removes its stickiness) and Poison (because corrosive acid can melt glue).
