>>43200362It’s been on and off for a long time but I’ve been doing it consistently for a bit over a year.
I know it’s not perfectly safe, but feces isn’t inherently dangerous. When it’s inside your body, the acidic, low oxygen environment in the intestines reduces bacterial growth. This in combination with your immune system keeps you from infecting yourself. When food (for example raw meat or lettuce) becomes contaminated with feces it’s a problem because the bacteria keeps growing and spreading in the days it takes for the produce to be packaged and shipped to the consumer. By the time it’s eaten, a consumer is very likely to get sick. Contrast this to the case of a shit-eater; fecal bacteria start in the large intestine, then are shat out, eaten after a few minutes, enter the stomach where the bacteria is drenched in acid strong enough to kill most of them, enter the small intestine (which already has bacteria in it), and after a few hours the fecal bacteria ends up right where it started. If you clean your hands and use antiseptic mouthwash than what exactly is the problem? The body won’t “reabsorb” the bacteria unless you have cuts in your mouth or intestines were pathogens could enter the bloodstream.
