No mainline Pokemon game has ever faced this much backlash until now, no mainline Pokemon game has ever had DLC until now, iirc Masuda himself said that he thought that DLC would ruin Pokemon. It's just kinda weird that after the backlash (that Masuda literally got pissed over that time that retard asked him about not having the natdex on his birthday) they decided to try and bring back the biggest thing the backlash was about. Plus the fact that if they really did plan the DLC from the beginning, why is it taking half a year to release? Wouldn't it be closer to finished right now?
