>>39199106I actually really, really loved Pokémon Amie in XY. For the first time I couldn't just battle with my Pokémon, but actually care for them, play with them, call out to them and Hi5 them.
Then to see how all my care for them paid off, seeing them doing criticals or surviving a fatal hit and looking back at me and be like "I did this just for you!" just like actual pets do irl warmed my otherwise stone cold heart.
All I wanted was to see how they would expand on it even further. But with refresh they removed Pokémon reacting to sound or faces you make. Being able to comb your Pokémon or dry them was nice, but being able to completely remove their status ailments, especially poison was just OP.
