Blaziken face is more rigid and divided but the spikes on both of them are similar enough that I don't get how you can confuse them for ears. Again looking at the model from the front it clearly does not resemble ears in any way and makes the face look wider from the front. There's zero indication that they're meant to be seen as elf ears. They're not even pointed up, there's three spikes and they resemble those of another gen 3 Pokémon which makes it seem more likely that they're not ears.
