You are severely underplaying just how important the perception of Pokémon as animal creatures is and how widespread the sexualization of certain Pokémon are even among newbies. You're also making the grave mistake of thinking people can't like multiple Pokémon, there's no reason people can't like both Gardevoir and Meowscarada. We see this reflected on smash or pass with Gardevoir and Lopunny only being 2% apart in smash percent. Casual newbies are going to be exposed to Pokémon that people make sexualized material off and that includes the Pokémon I've mentioned.
