>>51606869The goal is to offer players the ability to play gen 3 for the first time again. I'm working with a few other rom hack developers to really flesh out the games. For Kanto we're redoing every single map, adding a lot of additional content like totem battles, several more in game trades and a variety of johto pokemon throughout. For Emerald we are focusing on making the region larger, more expansive and fully utilizing the extra 16 MB that rom expansion can afford us. We are also adding a new second region to Emerald, as well as a revisiting the Sevii islands and turning them into a more developed and stand alone region.
The new region in Emerald is desert based, with very little water. Called Ishta. Loosely based on the Outback and Mojave deserts.
