Almost every Team Flare grunt is optional as the entire cast of Kalos "helps" you get through. Even though they're just standing surrounded by grunts with no real impact on the gameplay, I'm a sucker for scenes like this in games. It'd be more impactful if this game put more work into fleshing out party members, character interactions, and rivalries throughout each arc though.
