>>58248733Not really, Meowscarada just has a good compression role, Sceptile can't even reliably threaten anything without boosting most of the time and thanks to Protean U-Turn hits pretty hard on the way out.
If you want a good setup sweeper, Mega Charizard X and Volcarona exist, plus a dozen way better Dragon types that don't require a Mega like Baxcalibur or Dragonite, hell even Torterra is a better setup sweeper with Shell Smash and Torterra sucks dude.
>>58248768Plus with Hydrapple and fuck even Appletun existing, there's way better Dragon/Grass Pokemon you could be using instead, Hydrapple is niche but has some fantastic utility and damage potential, as well as infinitely better coverage in stuff like Hydro Pump and Earth Power, it has Pollen Puff to deal damage and heal it's allies in doubles, Supersweet Syrup is surprisingly really useful in doubles and even Syrup Bomb can severely fuck up some Pokemon after a turn on two by slowing them down. I love Sceptile a lot, but it just sucks so bad.
Talking about Meowscarada again, It even learns Water moves in Chilling Water too, Sceptile would kill to get it's hands on a Fire move, even a weak one, meanwhile the furbait cat just gets to have everything.
