Is Zarude real content? What are you going to do with it? It's banned online and will be banned forever. It's not hyper strong to let you wreck stuff in-game. It's not even a long term iconic Pokemon or anything like a Mew; after the very next event Pokemon release, Zarude will be as obscure and forgettable as most of the others. It's just kinda there honestly. You will get it, be vaguely happy you have it, put it in a box, and never touch it again. Honestly event Pokemon are about the dumbest thing in the series; they often have interesting gimmicks and designs but are built in a way you will never get to really use them and are really inaccessible thus they're totally wasted dev effort.
Zarude in particular seems gameplay wise pretty low tier among event Pokemon as I look at it. 120 attack/105 speed is pretty good but nothing that special, it has a worthless ability, grass/dark is a pretty dubious type combo with tons of common weaknesses but at least some offensive prowess, and other than its signature move Jungle Healing which is mostly kinda "alright" it doesn't have a lot terribly special in its movepool. Jungle Healing would at least be a fun sort of gimmick as a somewhat better Life Dew concept and his speedy Taunt would have some applications, but for most purposes, this guy is just a worse alternative to Rillaboom. Rillaboom sets terrain which is very powerful, Rillaboom in general will do more damage with basically the same type coverage, Rillaboom is actually effectively faster due to how Grassy Glide works, and Rillaboom has far better support options in his movepool. If Zarude at least had Knock Off it would be a realistic alternative if you for some reason were really against Grassy Terrain with the rest of your team comp, but man, without Knock Off this guy would be really tough to justify even if he were legal which he never will be because he's an event Pokemon which makes everything about him a serious waste.
