I genuinely don't know what it is about Turner that makes people seethe. His art is all over the place but people only see his Twitter art he does for fun when off duty and thinks that's all he's capable of. Here's him emulating Sugimori's art from around 2005-2006 (the 2009 date is for the portfolio not when the art was done) and while slightly off, to think he hasn't gotten better at it in 15 years is really dumb. Not to mention how the art style for Pokemon has shifted ever since the switch to 3D, with none of Kalos Gym Leaders looking like the left outside of arguably Wulfric, and Turner designed none of them.
