Seeing as people thought they would remove kanto from HG/SS and there would be no red battle, but gamefreak delivered and put everything people wanted and more into gen 2 remakes, I'd like to think gamefreak knows how important remakes are, and they will make a game that is on par if not better than the game they are remaking.
But still...
