this game unfortunately has the 'fly too late' problem where it wants me to go revisit old areas with my teleportation powers, but to do so i have to go past like 10 maps full of tall grass and drop 500 repels, so i did try and go back and do a little bit of exploration but ultimately it's probably better to just push forward and hope there's a fast travel
