It should only take 4-5 excluded tags to clear up 95% of it. Select exclude crossovers, sort by date posted or updated, maybe set a minimum word count, bookmark the search, and you'll be set. You'll have to update the excludes as you run across weird or undesirable stuff, but eventually you'll have a clean browsing experience.
