literal bee hive rounds burst above the battlefield and disgorged the contents onto trainer and pokemon both, they might realize that droning noise had not subsided. It had gotten louder; you know, if they could focus on that over the bullet bees burrowing into their flesh and eating them from the inside.
The sound bounced off the stone walls, coming from all directions it seemed. Mostly northern, though. Some hundred feet ahead of them two squadrons of yanmegas jinked into attack runs. Each group had 5 men on bug-back with the lead group lead by the actual (supposedly) yellow and black clad bug master to make 11 total. At their flanks flew the third wave he spoke of, beedrills, fanning out from the flier's triangle formation. These were some men that the Pain had hand picked to work with him as honest to god air cavalry, so it was an ironic twist that Hans mentioned cav earlier.
"You won the battle but the war isn't over, the real fight's ahead! But here's something to remember me by!"
Each of the bugs held a glide bomb in their many feet, and each of the men on the back held an mp40 cradled in the arm not holding the reigns. The Pain was not so squeamish and two handed his tommy gun, using knees to guide the mount.
As the pain came in he strafed the entire valley with a long spray of .45 acp, gunning down trainer and pokemon alike. With the infestation keeping them from running, the bug dropped its bomb as it flew straight over their heads and kept going for a ways, before jinking off to the side again and out of sight and retaliation.
The bomb hit the ground and detonated into a fire blast...that ignited the highly combustable weezing gas trapped in the valley's lower reaches. Soon the entire place would be a flaming, toxic death trap they could not flee.
> Fire blast.> 3 also hits for the bomb, but not the trainer's attack.
