The story of my bro, Staraptor, is deeper. Until Diamond, I always soloed the game with my starter like a scrub. Then partway into the seventh gym, my Torterra got KO'd. So I sent out my Staravia I had been using as a flyer. And somehow, it won the battle despite being way underleveled. I slapped an EXP Share on it and went through the rest of the gym with it, evolving into a Staraptor by the end. I immediately put together a full team after that for the rest of the game and have used a full team every game run since.
