All we need is faster deletion of off-topic OPs (shitposts, e-celeb bait/advertising) and thread derailers. That's it.
Generals? It's just the same problems the board has in general with shitposting and whatnot, but magnified because people feel entitled to shitpost in their general. It's a problem in some generals (anime) more than others (showderp). Just have mods patrol them more and enforce EXISTING roles.
>b-but Showderp/Hunger Games
they stay in their respective generals. Don't like it? Hide it.
Pepe-posting? Not a problem so long as it's on-topic. No different than any other post. The honestly only real shitposting problem I see is the
>KLK
posts. But that is garbage, and so it's covered by existing rules.
Fake leaks? They're visible from a mile away. If the OP posts as Anonymous and says "I'll answer any questions" then delete the thread. No other moderation is necessary.
Porn? Furries? Already against the rules. And no, cropped porn isn't porn, because how can you tell if what it's cropped from is porn? Some giant database the mods are expected to memorize? What if it just looks like it's cropped from porn, but it isn't? Is it porn if someone is just blushing or drooling?
All this just so we can censor images that don't technically break the rules? We just need normal moderation against thread derailment.
Waifu/husbando threads? Hide them if you don't like them, don't try (and FAIL) to censor stuff that is Pokemon-related and isn't porn.
IDs? I've yet to see a compelling argument for IDs. They fix a small problem (samefagging, in a way that is VERY EASY to circumvent) but introduce far larger problems (loss of anonymity, self-censorship). Only the WORST boards (/b/ and /pol/) have IDs, and it's debatable much they've helped the situation there, if at all.
tl;dr we do not need any rules changes. We just need more consistend moderation and janitors to remove shitposts and garbage. If you don't like a thread, HIDE IT or filter its title.
