Not a very special story about how it became my current favorite really. I was exploring the internet for the first time when I just had my own laptop, and one day I came across Serebii's website, and saw that Black and White were the next upcoming Pokemon games. I saw that I could check out all the new Pokemon it was going to have, so I clicked the link and scrolled down the list. Once I reached Hydreigon, it became an instant click for me. Never would I though there was going to be a hydra/multi headed dragon Pokemon, and I thought the design executed the concept really well. I never had an edge phase, but I did like the type combination of Dark/Dragon. Again, maybe chalk it up to another "huh I didn't expect that but it looks so cool".
And keep in mind that this was before the official English release, and the Pokemon didn't have their localized names yet. So when I saw "Sazandora", I immediately made the Ghidorah connection, and went "oh cool, it's a Pokemon version of Ghidorah like how Ttar is Poke-Godzilla"
