>>57624223Actually I think I was there for this specific one. It's been a while but I think back when you couldn't really hide threads and there wasn't a catalogue function, it was a lot more common for threads that kept popping up on page one to be targeted by trolls who would try to purge those threads. Garybombing became a thing mostly because of furries/pokephiles and other threads that Garybombers just didn't like. Pretty sure this particular one was from the early 2010s when Gen 5 came out and there were consistent Subway Boss threads since they were surprisingly kind of popular back then, and those threads were so frequent and active that they got onto the shitlist of the Gary trolls and people who were tired of seeing the funny incest yaoi train men. Honest to god I truly believe the tools we have now to filter and hide the threads you don't want to see contributed to the fact that this kind of trolling is rare to borderline nonexistent these days. It still happens but not to the levels it used to be. Anyways that's my little /vp/ history lesson, I was in those original submas threads as a frequent poster so that's why I remember that specific one since that's an edit of Ingo from the anime that was a very small-time meme of its own for about a week.
