>>50537524>SwellowYou might be right about this, I lowballled it because outside of Brawly, there aren't a lot of matchups that Swellow wins on paper, but Guts might be enough to put it into S, considering how small the rest of the tier is.
>AzumarillHuge Power is great, the problem is that there aren't any physical STAB moves for it to use. In fact, the only really good physical moves it *can* take advantage of are Return & Brick Break. And don't get me wrong, you can definitely make that work, but pre-Gen IV Azumarill strikes me as a discount Gyarados. Plus you have to consider that half the time you get an Azumarill with Thick Fat, and that's not a strong Pokemon. I think it's B-Tier with Huge Power, C-Tier without it, and averaging it out gets a high C-Tier.
>LinooneYou're definitely right about Belly Drum Linoone being great at the Elite Four, but you only get Belly Drum *at* the Elite Four, so you're essentially going through a large portion of the game with a really mediocre Pokemon in the hopes that it will make it to the Elite Four. Also, if you don't have the Shadow Ball TM for Linoone before you fight the Elite Four, you're missing out on one of its best matchups. Still, it gets a power spike quite early with Headbutt as a Zigzagoon, it has its late game uses, and Pickup is genuinely super useful. I think mid-B tier is fair.
>WobbuffetOh god yeah, this thing rules. Only thing I can penalize it for is low practicality, because it's a pain to grind levels with it. But if you have the game knowledge, it's essentially a free kill on any single Pokemon.
