We already have the black/yellow pair (think DNA helixes, think base pairing, loops shouldn't be one color), heavily represented in the limbs so that's the minimized thing on the tail. This leaves C and M paired which imo is pretty good because it's like the ever-popular red/blue pair people like to see in graphical design. Cut some extra bits off the face, now we have the pincers like in the prevo. We can even segment them more. Shift where the claw tip happens like on the (code?) injector tail spike, on the "toes", and we have more unnatural geometry which sells more of the computer original and hearkens back to the wireframe inspirations.
