Apparently with PoGo the game quality is lower if you have a crappy phone, it makes some kind of autoadjusting, I've seen more than once screencaps of people that look like they are playing the game without antialiasing and with lower res textures. I don't know about the textures but being able to turn off antialiasing would probably save us all some decent amount of battery.
