Alright, it's time to start Ultra Moon. It's a very Dark-type heavy early game, isn't it?
Rolled a Popplio as my starter and it's actually a girl which pleases my autism. Sign of good things to come because we started off shockingly well thanks to some amazing encounters.
Turns out Inkay is a ridiculously strong early catch. Between Contrary and early Reflect + Foul Play it's genuinely broken. Kraken singlehandedly put Ilma to shame and with Tubby the Makuhita behind a Reflect (and the Brick Break TM conveniently placed in the trial site) Totem Ratticate didn't stand a chance either. Didn't even matter that I couldn't use Mermaid because she went over the level cap during the trial.
Already going better than anticipated, I did not expect to get through a trial without a loss.
