It's like Gladion, whose edginess and angsty personality is so completely over-the-top that people find it charming.
Absol starts in edgy territory but somehow circles back around again into being just.......normal and lovable. In fact I would say Zangoose and Seviper are many times edgier than Absol. I can't put my finger on WHY that is when Absol clearly has so much inherent edge.
I have also noticed that Absol fans are almost always pleasant and surprisingly mature, rather than the DeviantArt teenagers you would expect. It's a mystery.
