When Victreebel was introduced to Alola it was outmatched severely by it's would be prey, and being hunted into extinction by Fearow, Toucannon, and Ribombee; so Victreebel retreated to the sides of mountains to flee it's troublesome competition and developed the ability to eat the plentiful Steel and Ice types in those areas by gaining the Fire type. A strange effect has taken place by the consumption of steel types; Victreebel has metal spikes protruding out of it's body which it now uses to defend against would be predators such as Crabominable and Lycanroc. It now is equipped for anything... besides Fearow.
