art style seems familiar>>53374402I've been stuck in the same place for 5 years with almost no change and I think I have severe cabin fever. I've been so knee-deep in escapism during relatively formative years in my life that I'm not sure I'll ever be a normal person at this point lol. Pokémon specifically gets a lot of the fantasizing because I'm just so immersed in the world. It's endlessly deep, with an enormous cast and fascinating mechanics and potential for storytelling. I've been milking it dry for years now and I still find fresh new ideas to try with the setting, it's fucking ridiculous. I also passionately love a lot of the designs, not sure any other creature in video games or movies could top something like Sandslash or Frillish for me.
I'm absolutely not a degenerate about it, honestly. I'm hardly a degenerate at all lol. I don't belong on this platform.
>>53374646In-canon it's probably been like a week maximum. In general, I picked up this series when I was 7 and got my first flashcard with every Pokémon game save for Explorers of Sky on it. I've been addicted to this stuff like crack cocaine for over a decade now- PMD for only a little less than main series. Started with Blue Rescue Team (and remember being upset that I didn't have Red, because I didn't understand Red was on a different console and thought it just worked like the main series for YEARS) but dropped it really quickly and picked up Time instead, which I somehow beat. Then I went back to Blue and beat that, but not before resetting when I learned your house upgrades to be your head and thinking Chikorita's looked dumb and creepy. I beat the game as a Squirtle after that.
