In a perfect world we would have gotten Sanders vs Trump, both of them would have torn the DNC and GOP establishment apart through their rhetoric and riling up their bases against the party leadership, and Sanders would have ultimately won in November due to not having enough attack vectors for Trump to target, compared to Hillary. Then in 2020 we could have a really interesting race, as the two major parties continue to fracture and third parties potentially pick up more steam.
