>>49490745Hau's face, now showing his usual happy-go-lucky nature, quickly darted to the source of the sound. Forty feet away he saw two thick, light blue hands with their palms clasped together pierce through a tangled mass of vines and detritus that would have required a machete or blade-bearing Pokemon to cut through. The hands turned around, fiercely gripping the vines, and rapidly parted them, rending an opening into the wall of vegetation. Within this opening stood a Machamp, its stern gaze fixed directly on Hau, its other two lower arms folded beneath its chest, and the rest of its body just beneath the opening. Altogether the scene resembled a poster from some pro-wrestling promotion.
Hau's mouth was agape with awe. "Woo-hoo! I hit the jackpot! It looks so strong..." Hau knew that it was unusual to see a Machamp in the wild on his island, let alone see a Machamp in the wild anywhere, for it was a pokemon that usually only evolved from a Machoke under the care of a trainer. Mere seconds after his initial amazement had worn off, he began to doubt that he could possibly catch such a mighty pokemon, yet he still held on to his earlier resolve to become a strong and serious trainer, and so he brandished one of his three poke balls.
