>>36829538The more I think about a DP remake with current Game Freak, the more I think it's a bad idea. Sinnoh was the lore region and one of Gen 7's biggest complaints was the emphasis on narrative getting in the way of the adventure. Having to be stopped every 5 seconds because of the plot. Then I remember a huge problem with ORAS was being too faithful to the original RS without taking into account the improvements Emerald made and it makes me certain Game Freak will do the same with the gen 4 remakes and mirror the problems DP had that Platinum fixed. Then I think about the amount of handholding the new games have and combined with the unskippable cutscenes and the focus on narrative the whole thing just seems incredibly tedious. Gen 4 is already a slow region to begin with and the remakes will make it worse.
