This is really the only board I come to anymore. I kinda grew out of 4chan when I was 15 (I've been coming here since I was 12, and I'll be 19 next month.) And not once in all the years I've been here have I really felt any particular rage or annoyance towards any boards.
Everyone just wants to be noticed here, it's like any other website. Be it in a positive or negative manner, people enjoy being noticed, having their opinions praised or hated. I was just never into that, I guess.
/vp/ is my favorite board, because it has really good Pokemon discussion in here if you can get past the people who are seeking attention or completely off-topic. I don't think it's shit by any means. I honestly like seeing the off-topic stuff, a lot of the time it's really funny.
I like most of the people on this board. A lot of them are mean-spirited assholes, a lot of them are argument creating loudmouths, but deep down I'm sure it's just a bunch of guys and chicks who love Pokemon. And you're all really funny on top of it.
I hope this board doesn't go anywhere. It gives me somewhere to discuss Pokemon with people who are in my general age group, and I don't have to have a filter. I can just call somebody who doesn't like my favorite gen a dirty nigger, and feel just fine.
