>>40154238I have to say I still really like Ruby/Sapphire Brendan. The first few gens had protagonists that were like regular kids wearing regular casual clothes for the outdoors. Brendan on the other hand looks like he's decked out in the Pokemon world equivalent of Adidas sportswear. He's serious about training those monsters. It's like you're playing as the Cooltrainer/Ace Trainer class. (Not to mention his colour scheme still focuses on the noticeable and heroic red rather than the toned down light blue of many of the later protags.) Also I love his retarded beanie.
