My mom passed away a few years ago and my dad hates me. He was seldom at home and verbally abusive so my aunt and uncle took me in. I don't know what my dad thinks of it. My uncle and aunt think it's okay. My uncle finds it funny that my niece and nephew are so impressed with my knowledge of Pokémon.
Mom was perfectly okay with it, she loved Pokémon almost just as much as me. I remember when b/w were coming out, she was so excited for the new Pokémon games. I bought both versions and let her pick one, she ended up with White. It was her first Pokémon game ever and she loved it so much. She never got that far though, her illness got the best of her.
I also remember Togepi being her favourite. So I have a Togepi in game named after her. I miss mom.
