>>13387097But I hadn't simply lost to Ghetsis. I'd lost for the world. Even if I did teleport to the Pokemon Center after he beat me... I'd lost. Team Plasma had taken over the world. Ghetsis had won and people and Pokemon had been seperated. That's what happened, regardless if I eventually beat him, regardless if I teleported back to the PC after losing. This new world that I'd entered had fallen into darkness and it was all my fault.
It was then I realized that I didn't really know how to play this game. I didn't know all type combinations, what was effective againts what, or what was weak to this. I didn't know about natures, what they did, what stats really meant or how the effected each mon. I had no clue what I was doing. And upon my loss I vowed to myself to learn the intricasies of Pokemon and beat Ghetsis again through another playthrough and save the world.
I ended up figuring out how things worked. I built a solid team for my second run and I beat Ghetsis in one round. I didn't have to rematch him. I didn't lose. I'd beaten the game and it was the first time I felt proud for doing so, like I'd really accomplished something, like I'd really grown.
Afterwards I looked through all of my other Pokemon games and saw how immbalanced and broken my teams were. I decided to play every single game over again--and do it right this time.
