Latias is mostly a dps support with the ability to both frontline and back line, and should usually be the one engaging to farm some stacks before retreating to let the damage spread a bit before repeating. If you can, be on the enemy side of the map getting cheeky hits and stealing mobs wherever you can - the speed boost you get after using a move lets you safely retreat provided the enemy doesn't unite out of pettiness or is a Delphox/Pikachu (ranged stuns screw over Latias hard, not only does it make it harder to get in but being stunned will cancel its Unite and prevent Pulse from healing you).
Do NOT bother with objectives unless your team has secured it already, just play scout/gatekeeper because you won't get any stacks from hitting the objective unless you final hit it and Latias has zero rip potential even with good stacks.
Pulse Mist is best solo, the other moves can work with the right team comps and trusted teammates but you are gambling if you choose to use them without a trusted partner. It's especially good if your team has a lot of self-sustain, because the damage reduction on enemies will make your entire team super bulky. And if you're lucky enough to get an Umbreon or a healing Support alongside you then absolutely push your luck, you can snowball a game by sitting in the enemy's faces and overloading your stacks.
