>>47453061We had a lot of tools to keep ourselves from dying and we as the players had to properly use them else we'd die. We had 2 Sacred Ashes (we we're supposed to use one during the 18 part dungeon before Arceus, but we played well enough to where we never needed to use one) we used both in the final battle to save our skins. We had Shaymin, which if Brent ever died Shaymin gets taken out of the fight too, so I had to be careful when to summon it, and he did revive Haley and the party's Weavile. Last thing we have is one PC who has this busted armor that lets them revive & recover everything on themselves once per day whenever they want. With these 4 tools, we made it work. If we burned through all of this stuff at the start of the boss and not at the end of the 18 part boss we'd had died.
As to "why does death mean less" quite literally, we were fighting the literal God of the universe/Strongest thing in the universe with the power to do anything, while being allied by a multitude of the second strongest things in the universe who have the power to bend time, space, reality, life, death, creation and nature... being able to revive the dead at this level of craziness is not surprising. It'd be weirder if we couldn't against this type of universal threat.
