For example, we know Blaine's sprite got switched from a veteran to a mad scientist with sunglasses, but for all we know one of the reasons is for that to match up with the Burglars and Super Nerds. Playing it straight in the final game, Misty is pretty much just a swimmer, and Bruno is just a buffer Brock/Black Belt to tie into his Onix and Fighting-types
