>>37733679It's rough, but it differs for everyone. When my depression was its worst it was an intense feeling of emptiness, as well as a lack of motivation for anything other than sleeping and playing games.
I remember this one morning I woke up, I had an obligation that was a big cause of both anxiety and depression for me, and for about 5 minutes all I could do was stare at nothing, all sound was blotted out, my thoughts were gargled nonsense and I could barely feel myself in my own body. That was a major turning point for myself.
I'm now on meds and I'm seeing a therapist every week, and while my mental illnesses still the biggest issue in my life at the current moment, it's a lot better than it was before.
I'm glad that you want to learn about it, and hope that one day more people will be like you. Ignorance about mental illness is a big issue in a lot of places, and it's really sad that there isn't more education on it. I hope you never have to get firsthand experience, anon.
