>>39101752>Swanna lineIt's a motherfucking duck in an inner tube. What's not to love? Not to mention duck feathers actually trap air for buoyancy, making it more appropriate. The heart motif makes it cute and distinct and the tube transforms into Swanna's bra which is fuckin' hilarious. Swanna's more generic but the breast/hair motif stays and I love how pissed it looks. It's like proto-Toucannon. It's also got that ugly duckling thoroughline which is just as much lore as any of that shit you're dying to defend.
>Chandelure lineImagine having taste this shit. Since you're apparently such a fuckin' weeb I assume you know and respect what they're based on. As if that isn't enough, they're an extremely good combination of cute and creepy which works with the theme of luring people to their deaths. The candle -> lamp -> chandelier progression is perfect and it retains its basic body type while looking distinct at each stage. Somehow it trumps both the "muh objectmons" and "too simple" arguments in one fell swoop. It's such an effective design.
>DurantNot much to say here, it's just a goddamned metal ant. What's wrong with that? It plays to common knowledge of ants being sturdy and strong and seems like a natural fit with the armor-like exoskeleton and "claw" mandibles. Its gimmick with Heatmor is also one of the first signs of actual evolution in pokemon and how pokemon have become more biologically-geared in later generations which is fuckin' amazing. I'm baffled that you consider this one of Gen V's worse designs.
>Swoobat lineThe fuck is your problem? It takes the heart-nosed bat concept and serves as a cute counterpart to the Zubat line. Woobat has that classic RPG bat look and resembles one of those winged eyeballs too. It relies on its nose for echolocation like most bats and the gimmick of using it to stick to walls and leave heart-shaped marks is elegant simplicity at its finest on top of great worldbuilding.
