I've actually been thinking of a monk-inspired fighting gym leader whose fixated on balance. Feng-shui gym, sand garden, symmetry, all that. You challenge him while he's meditating underneath a small waterfall in the gym, and subplot wise he tells you he meditates to reach dream time because he
became blind years ago.
I actually was thinking for something new we have the gym leaders interact with each other at some point. Perhaps use their Pokemon together to help retrieve the MC during bad-guy shit? Have the psychic gym leader put them in a trance to go and find them in the dream realm post E4?
